The Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (AAMPO) is seeking entry-level to experienced transportation planners to support its commuting, short-range, or multimodal transportation planning functions.
Transportation Planner I (Commute Solutions Program)
As our Commute Solutions Program Transportation Planner I, you will impact change by promoting alternative commute options to reduce roadway congestion and improve our air quality to employers and the general public. Services to the public will include managing our Emergency Ride Home and CARPOOL Hotline programs.
Short-Range Transportation Planner I or II (Transportation Improvement Program)
Our Short-Range Planner I or II will develop and maintain a four-year list of upcoming transportation projects for our planning region, including bicycle and pedestrian facilities, transportation enhancement, and surface transportation projects, in cooperation with local, state, and public transit partners.
Multimodal Transportation Planner I, II, or III
As our Multimodal Transportation Planner, you will influence transportation accessibility by considering diverse transportation options (e.g., cycling, public transit, vehicle, and walking) and land use factors (e.g., active transportation, public transit service, and roadway design).
