  1. Interim Executive Director's Report (pdf)  

a.    The Executive Committee will meet September 17, 2025 to decide funding for FY27-30 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The full Transportation Policy Board will take action at the September 2025 meeting.

b.    AAMPO Policy Review Work Group will convene in early October to discuss potential changes to Policy 1 (Guidelines for Funding Planning Studies in the Unified Planning Work Program), Policy 3 (Guidelines for Programming Projects in the Metropolitan Transportation Plan and the Transportation Improvement Program), and Policy 5 (Technical Advisory Committee). The current policies may be found at https://www.alamoareampo.org/About/#policies. Any policy revisions will be approved by the Technical Advisory Committee and presented to the Policy Board for final approval.

c.    The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued a proposed motor vehicle emissions budget for the San Antonio/Bexar County Area. Once this budget is found adequate, the MVEB will be the only measure by which AAMPO will base the Transportation Conformity effort. d.    There is no news on the proposed AAMPO Study Area expansion. If approved by Governor Abbott, AAMPO’s Study Area will be expanded to include the remaining portion of Kendall County and the eastern portion of Medina County to include Hondo, Castroville, and Lytle. The request was sent to the Governor’s Office on March 6, 2025.

e.    The AAMPO office will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025 in observance of Labor Day.
