a.   AAMPO’s Executive Committee will meet in the July timeframe to discuss and make a recommendation to the Transportation Policy Board (TPB) on the FY 27-30 TIP Project Call and FY 2026 AAMPO Annual Budget.

b.   May is National Bike Month. Not going far? Ditch the car! For Bike Month, AAMPO is involved in Bike to School Day, Bike to Work Day, the Active Transportation Advisory Committee's (ATAC) Walk and Bike Night, the          Ride of Silence, Street Skills cycling safety classes, and other partner events. If you are interested in partnering or want to learn more, contact Matthew Moreno at moreno@alamoareampo.org

 c.    AAMPO’s FY 26-27 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is under development. The Technical Advisory work group met in April. The Board presentation is scheduled for May with action in June.

d.   Alamo Commutes, AAMPO’s commute solutions program, is now on Instagram (@alamocommutes) and Facebook (facebook.com/alamocommutes). Follow Lily and team to stay informed about multimodal                       transportation, including commuter tips, route suggestions, safety resources, and opportunities to participate in challenges and earn rewards.

e.   The FY 2025 Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grants awards are open for applications. The deadline is Thursday, June 26, 2025. Funds are awarded on a competitive basis to support planning, infrastructure, behavioral, and operational initiatives to prevent death and serious injury on roads and streets involving all roadway users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation, personal conveyance, micromobility users, motorists, and commercial vehicle operators. f.   The AAMPO May Policy Board meeting will be held Monday, May 19, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at the VIA Metro Center Board Room (the usual location).

g.  The AAMPO Office will be closed Friday, May 2, 2025 for Battle of Flowers holiday and Monday, May 26, 2025 in observance of Memorial Day.
