- The Multimodal Regional Thoroughfare Study, Subtask 4.7 in the FY 26-27 UPWP, procurement has resulted in Cambridge Systematics being approved to enter into contract negotiations with AAMPO. The tentative kick-off for the effort is set for May 2026.
- April is
Carpool Challenge month! Become a member of Alamo Commutes, find a carpool
match, and log your trips to be eligible to win a $50 cash gift card. Each trip
is an entry. Looking to collect the commemorative medal, look for Alamo

- The MTP Demographic
Work Group will meet virtually on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 and in-person on
Friday, May 8, 2026 to discuss and collect information on expected regional
growth as it relates to economic development factors.
- May is National Bike Month! Join AAMPO and partner agencies for a month filled with
cycling events. Alamo Commutes is offering cash card prizes for members who log
the most cycling trips. AAMPO will be hosting an Energizer Station on Bike to
Work Day and many other events throughout the region. If you are interested in
participating, please contact Salomon Mendoza, AAMPO Multimodal Planner, at mendoza@alamoareampo.org
- AAMPO's Policy 5: Technical Advisory Committee will be revised. The policy will be
converted to stand alone bylaws to align with AAMPO standards. Garry Ford,
AAMPO TAC Chair will be leading a work group to review and draft the new
bylaws. This group will meet up to three times during April and May with a
draft recommendation going to the AAMPO Executive Committee in June 2026. If
you are interested in participating in the work group, please contact Sonia

- The AAMPO office will be closed Friday, April 24, 2026 in observance of Battle of
Flowers holiday.
