About ATAC

The Active Transportation Advisory Committee (ATAC) was established to help improve the region’s safety, programs, investments, and user experience in active transportation. Established in 2021 by the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (AAMPO) Transportation Policy Board, the committee was formed following the unification of the MPO’s previous Bicycle and Pedestrian Mobility Advisory Committees (BMAC and PMAC). ATAC's vision is for the region to be distinguished as a place where active transportation users can safely travel on and off-road and active forms of transportation are recognized as a clean, healthy, and affordable form of transportation and recreation.
