Transportation Mode Lib Game
A Fill-in-the-Blank Story About How You Move in the Alamo Area
The Alamo Area MPO is developing two transportation plans. The Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) outlines a vision and values for a transportation system that will keep the region moving into 2050. The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) outlines projects that have actual dollars for construction tied to them.
In this activity, you can tell us about your ideal transportation system, pick the projects you’d like to see funded and help shape the future of transportation in the Alamo Area. It’s as easy as:
How does this game work?
If you’re familiar with Mad Libs, this activity works just like that. However, you don’t need to have ever heard of Mab Libs to play along. It’s as easy as 1-2-3.
- Step 1: In the first step we ask you to choose different types of words. Pick a word, any word, that matches the type of word in the prompt. Make them as serious or silly as you like. The fun part is seeing how your random words turn into a story in Step 2.
- Step 2: In Step 2, we will automatically create a story about transportation using the words you provided. The story might not make much sense, but that’s ok! It’s just for fun (we hope you get a laugh or two). It’s easy to update the story with answers that are more accurate for your life.
- Step 3: Submit your story for the Alamo Area MPO to read, and that’s it! We hope you enjoy making your story and that you consider sharing this link with other people. Each Mad Lib story helps strengthen the Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
Have some fun filling in a single unique word or phrase for each blank shown below. Then generate your transportation story, Mad Libs-style. (Don’t worry, you can change them later.)
Read through the (silly? funny? surprisingly accurate?) transportation tale that your submitted words generated.
Edit your Story
It’s time to put your serious hat on and fill in the editable spaces below with honest answers. Click into each underlined text box and type a new entry.
I am a Job or Hobby with number ideas for the future of transportation in the Alamo Area!
I normally get to place by transportation option because it's the most adjective way. In an ideal world, I would be able to move around using transportation option and transportation option.
Transportation right now is adjective and adjective. It makes me feel emotion. In 2050, transportation will be adjective, adjective. and adjective. It will be adjective to move around.
I live in zip code and would describe myself as Age years old, ethnicity, and gender. My story will help plan the future of transportation in the Alamo Region!
Oh NO!!! That's not what I meant! No problem, because making edits is easy! Go ahead and change each blank in the story above to make it more accurate for your life. You will also have an opportunity to help our current project section process by picking 4 projects that you feel will help move our transportation communities.
Done editing your Mode Lib story?
